Current Work: Creating Wide-View Representations Of Real-World Environments From Multiple Images

Here, work is presented on a system developed to create composite wide-view images from multiple images. The system discussed is software-based and may be used with color images taken with any conventional video capture system. The system combines mosaiking and image interpolation techniques to extract depth layers from video sequences taken by a moving camera. These layers may be used to generate a composite image with a wider field of view than the original images.
